What is a High-Status Creator? And the 3 content pillars you need to become one

Apr 25

This week I ran an experiment on X.

  1. I replied to ZERO of my tweets.
  2. I left ZERO comments (other than my clients).
  3. I wrote ZERO long forms and I didn't answer a single DM.

All I’ve done is write my 3-4 daily tweets.

And you know what?

I’ve still gained 150+ followers in the past 7 days.

And it’s confirmed a suspicion that I’ve had for a while long time now (a.k.a the reason I ran this experiment in the first place).

What "suspicion" am I talking about?

Well, it's quite simple really:

Volume helps you grow, sure (I would’ve obviously gained more followers if I engaged with people).

But, despite what the gurus tell you, it's not the most important thing.

Which is good news.

Because I got into this game for time-freedom and autonomy.

And I have about as much interest in being chained to my desk writing comments all day as I do in returning to the kebab shop that turned me into a human firehose a month or so back.

And I’m sure you don't want this either.

So if you feel currently feel like you’re caught on the “comment hamster wheel” (as I call it), then I'm about to show you the solution.

Because the answer isn’t doing more.

And you can see for yourself when you look at other high-status creators:

  1. Zarak has 58k followers but has only posted 148 tweets.
  2. Iman Gadzhi has 643k followers but has only posted 530 tweets.
  3. Alex Hormozi has 621k followers but has only posted 4,300 tweets.

None of these guys are sat, hunched over their keyboard spamming out their 217th comment of the day while they mainline coffee into their eyeballs because their adenosine receptors are now more fucked than a blind man in a boxing ring.

And that’s because these guys all understand the true key to rising to the top of social media:

It’s about focusing on the right stuff.

It’s about protecting your time.

It’s about saying no.

In short…

It’s about raising your status.

Which sounds great, of course.

But you’re not Zarak.

You’re not Iman Gadzhi.

And you’re certainly not Alex Hormozi.

You don’t have 10+ years of industry experience and credibility to your name to help you grow your social media presence on autopilot.

You’re bootstrapping your brand from the ground up.

So what do you do?

How do you raise your status so you can start to escape the content hamster wheel once and for all?

Well, right now you’re probably faced with one of 2 problems:

  1. You don’t have any high-value skills (copywriting, web design etc.)
  2. You have a high-value skill but you don’t know how to create content people will want to read

Which is exactly where I was 5 months ago:

  1. Zero experience in copywriting.
  2. Never written a tweet in my life.
  3. Fuck all idea how to grow on social media.

But since then I’ve managed to amass a 4,700+ following while only using Twitter for 1-2 hours a day.

And I credit this success to what I’ve always focused on:

Authority.

Prioritising quality.

Leading from the front.

In short, I’ve always focused on one thing:

I focused on becoming a High-Status Creator.

And that's why I'm now able to gain 150+ followers in under a week while doing (basically) zero engagment.

And if you’re not sure how you can do this yourself, then don’t worry.

Because I’m about to drop more sauce on you than the clumsy waitress who spills your katsu curry all over your lap at the Chinese buffet.

In fact, I’m going to show you how to INSTANTLY climb the creator status hierarchy (even if you don’t have any skills right now).

And the best part?

It only takes 3 steps.

So let’s dive in, shall we…

Level 1 Status: Value Content

People follow people who either:

  1. Solve their problems
  2. Relate to their problems

So if you’re at ground zero right now, this is what you need to focus on.

And this is where value content comes in…

Value content focuses on showing people:

  1. How you’ve already fixed a problem
  2. How you’re planning to fix a problem

And here’s how this works:

  1. You hook with a desirable transformation you’ve achieved (or are trying to achieve)
  2. You explain how you achieved this (or are planning to achieve it)
  3. You link this transformation with your brand’s unique mechanism (for me this is “common sense”) so people start to associate your brand with positive results

For example…

Value content is the first step to increasing your status as a creator.

Why?

Because you don’t need to be an expert to provide value.

All you have to do is share how you got (small) results or share how you’re planning to get results.

And then the people 2 steps behind you will start to see you as an expert.

Remember: Expert is a relative term. If you’ve been learning about copywriting for 3 weeks, someone who has zero experience will see you as an expert. And that’s enough for them to start following you.

But here’s the mistake most creators make:

They get caught in the value trap.

They get stuck writing “How to” and tutorial-style posts.

And they never progress onto Level 2 Status content.

Which is what we’re going to look at now…

Level 2 Status: Insight Content

Insight content is anything which suggests you have time in the game.

It suggests you have some “insider” knowledge that only other high-status creators have access to.

Let me illustrate with an example…

See how that works?

You’re showing people you know something valuable.

You’re sharing the principles behind how to get results.

But you’re not showing people how to directly apply them.

And that’s the difference between value and insight content:

  1. Value content focuses on tactics.
  2. Insight content focuses on principles.

And high-status creators understand that…

Principles are more valuable than tactics.

Which is the first reason why insights build your status more than value content:

Insights show you are operating with a higher-IQ mindset.

Insights show you understand that principles are more important than tactics.

And if you don’t appreciate this point, you’re probably still looking for “quick fixes” and spending your whole day watching “how to” YouTube videos. Get out of that trap now. Trust me. It gets you nowhere.

But that’s not all.

Because there’s another reason insights raise your creator status…

When you refuse to give away how you got results for free, you signal that your systems are valuable

And that instantly increases people’s perception of you as a creator.

Look at any High Status creator:

  1. Kieran Drew in the writing space.
  2. Chris Dyson in the coaching space.
  3. Dan Koe in the self-improvement space.

These guys share useful insights and principles, sure.

But they NEVER share the systems (i.e. the “how”) behind their results.

And that’s what you need to start realising if you want to become a High-Status Creator too.

But here’s the thing…

Value and insights aren’t enough to become a truly High-Status Creator.

You also need to PROVE your status.

Which brings me onto the final rung of the status hierarchy…

Level 3 Status: Proof

Who would you trust more:

Creator 1: Spouts out investing, stock market and “make mo money” advice like one of those absolute elbow-chewers you see on Instagram driving round a bright orange Lambo they’ve just emptied their entire bank account on for a 1 day rental (lol). But, in reality, they've barely have enough money to scrape a round together at the pub.

Creator 2: Tweets whatever the fuck they want but is constantly dropping proof (screenshots, testimonials etc.) of their results and their clients’ results.

I’d pick person 2 any day.

Because status isn’t about what you say.

Status is about the results you get.

That's what I call The Status Equation:

Status = 20% Talk + 80% Proof.

And it’s the same with your content.

If you want to become a High-Status Creator as quickly as possible, you need to start hammering proof content every single day.

Testimonials.
Case studies.
Portfolio content.

You need to be posting this sort of shit every single day.

And if you think you “don’t have any proof to show” yet…

…think again.

Someone sent you a DM or email complimenting your content? Screenshot that shit and post it on X.

Someone left a dope review of your lead magnet, product or service? Screenshot that shit and post it on X.

Found a creator with a funnel that’s got more holes in it than packet of Swiss cheese? Write up the most disgusting thread about how you’d fix it, tag them in the post and then slap that as your pinned tweet.

Start spamming proof that you actually know what the fuck you’re doing.

And then watch people’s perception of you do a complete 180.

Trust me.

3-4 weeks of that and you’ll be completely unrecognisable as a creator.

This is how you stop attracting the fucking bin juice of Twitter once and for all.

Right.

That’s all from me today ladies and gents.

Hone those skills.

Share those insights.

Spam that proof.

And, most importantly, remain high-status.

Talk soon,

Harry
